Japan Rant

I have been in Japan for over ten years. Japan is a great place to live, but every now and then you have your bad Japan days. The longer you live in the country the fewer you have, but when you do have a bad day you sometimes get the feeling what the hell am I doing here.

I created this site for fun, so please don’t post comments like “why don’t you just go home”. Often people just arriving in the country tend to see everything with rose colored glasses and yet to have a bad Japan day, or try to suppress any negative feelings towards the place. Eventually everyone has a bad experience that would only happen in Japan and you feel like packing your bags and jumping on to the next plane home.

Perhaps you have a job, debts, wife, husband, kids and just can’t leave on the next plane home, well at least you can come to this site and tell the world about your nazi boss, your two hour commute or your landlord from hell.

To post a rant you will first need to register. You will need to provide an email address for the password to be sent to you. Just use a free email account from Hotmail or Yahoo.

On the flip side, Japan is perhaps one of the most safest countries to live in the world. If you lose your bag in a taxi or on the train, there is a good chance of getting it back, with the contents in tact. So, I have created a category “the flip side” for people to also post good stories that would only happen in Japan.
